Liffer Ledezma
Liffer has worked nearly all of his working life in tourism and real estate in Costa Rica.
Initially , he began his working career by working in the U.S. primarily in the construction industries as money was better and he had left for the “adventure.”
But after a few years he returned home to Costa Rica, got married to a local girl from his “home town” of Grecia and started a family.
Because he was “semi-fluent) in English he was hired as a tour guide which he immediately knew was a good fit for him.
He loved the travel, even though it meant being away from his family and loved seeing all of the different areas of his country… and communicating his passion to his passengers and clients.
Then he took a job as a “real estate scout”… i.e., one who finds properties at good prices primarily for “gringos” or North Americans.
“It was perfect for me!” Liffer said.
“I could set my own hours and I knew exactly what gringos were looking for because of the time I spent in the United States … and I knew where to find properties because my family has grown up in the area and I can talk to the land owners and find properties at the best prices. “
“It is what I do best” Liffer says.
“Plus, I am good at it and it gives me the opportunity to make a good living for my family.”
Liffer has been married for over 20 years and has two daughters, one of which is starting at the University this year.
